STEP(Skill Tracking and Enhancement Program) – an innovative Education program was launched, that now runs in about 30 villages in Kancheepuram district. Around 1800 children are reached through this program. STEP helps to deliver quality education catering to the needs of the children in these villages by running after-school centers. We have 2 locally appointed and trained tutors who run classes for 3 hours every day and focus on achieving desired results for every child. Children’s skill levels in each subject are tracked on a weekly and monthly basis and individual attention is given to lagging children in order to improve their skill levels. The children learn skills in Tamil, Mathematics, English and Science through innovative learning materials, interactive games and activities, Through this comprehensive, multiyear initiative, STEP will deliver the best quality education inputs so that every child in the village achieves his/her full potential.
